Leppies
My oldest niece called elephants "Leppies" when she was little. The name stuck, in our family. This Leppie quilt is for a baby boy. Andi from PatchAndi designed the basic pattern. I modified it, but will modify it again because I'm going to use it again. Next time the proportions will be slightly different. My hubby loves the colors in this quilt. He wants me to make him one. Haha. What do you think of the color combo and the prints I used?

Dotty 4 U

Bloggers' Quilt Festival

This was motivated by our Alpenglow Quilting Group. They did these bull's eye quilts over the winter. I picked up some scraps one day and just started cutting circles. The entire quilt is made from scraps, except for a yard of backing. It makes a great table topper in my dining room. The top-stitched circles are supposed to fray when I wash it but I don't wash my quilts until I have to. I know a lot of you like to wash your quilts as you finish them, but I like to enjoy the crisp, clean look awhile before I wash mine. I decided to just cross hatch it on my machine because it was small enough to do it and I'm kind of into cross hatching lately. Anyway, this is the most recent quilt I have finished so I am using it for Blogger's Quilt Festival, but it's not really a favorite. If you check some of my older posts you will see much nicer quilts.

Service Auction Quilts
Each March our ward does our annual Relief Society Birthday Service Auction. We "auction" services and hand made items that we donate. We had a wonderful array of goodies donated this year, including knitted headbands, gloves, scarf, pretty aprons with dish cloths, homemade bread, a mailing kit, beautiful flower barrettes, a gorgeous bracelet (that I got), an emergency FHE kit, etc. These are a couple of little quilts I made for it. They were snatched up, along with a couple that Sue Mortensen hand quilted from fabrics I gave her.

Jordan's Scrapbuster
The finished product. I over-quilted it, but I learned from the experience. I really like the grey background/sashing though. I hope he likes it, or at least appreciates it. Quilt measures 62x86 and was made December 2010 for Jordan at Christmas.

Sweet Delight
A fun little half square triangle quilt made of a mix of prints. Backed by a pink stripe. Binding is each of the pink prints in the quilt. I pieced the top in October, but just quilted it last week when I finally got a chance to get it done.

SCRAP BUSTER
Thanks for your feedback yesterday. I appreciate your perspective.
I changed it a bit so it has more dark value fabrics in it. I removed a bunch of pastel blocks. I could change a few more blocks if you think I need to. There a still a few "poofy" fabrics in it, but not many. How do you feel about it now? Is it masculine enough for a 27 yr old guy? I want it to be cheerful. It will be assembled with grey between the blocks. Feedback please.
